A major fire broke out Wednesday at a refinery in Mangaluru, in India’s Karnataka state, after an explosion was reported at the facility. Video from the scene shows enormous columns of smoke rising from the plant as flames engulf part of the refinery.
According to local media reports, the explosion occurred in an area where high-pressure operations are carried out. Preliminary reports indicate that at least one person was killed and several others were injured in the incident.
