Santo Domingo.– Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino will travel to London to compete this Saturday in the 2026 Novuna London Athletics Meet, part of the Diamond League, in a race that will serve as a prelude to her participation in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.

Paulino arrives at the British meet in excellent form, after setting a track record in Monaco last week and maintaining a perfect record in the three 400-meter races she has competed in this year in the Diamond League, with victories in Doha, Paris, and the Principality.
The Dominican champion has accumulated 24 points in the Diamond League standings and holds second place, just three points behind the Czech athlete Lurdes Gloria Manuel, who leads the series.
At the London Stadium, Paulino will face, among other competitors, Poland’s Natalia Bokowiecka, Denmark’s Henriette Jæger, and Great Britain’s Yemi Mary John.
The competition in London will be Paulino’s last international commitment before returning to the Dominican Republic to participate in the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, which will be held from July 24 to August 8.
The athlete will be the flag bearer for the Dominican delegation during the opening ceremony, alongside boxer Cristian Pinales. So far, her participation is scheduled only for the 400-meter dash event.

Paulino will seek to conquer her fourth Diamond League crown this year, after winning the 2022, 2023, and 2024 editions. Following the London competition, the calendar includes stops in Lausanne, Switzerland, on August 21; Silesia, Poland, on August 23; and Zurich, Switzerland, on August 27, before the grand final in Brussels, Belgium, on September 5.
