Los Angeles. — The Los Angeles Dodgers staged one of the most impressive comebacks of the season by erasing a six-run deficit and defeating the San Diego Padres 12-7 on Thursday night at Dodger Stadium.

The match seemed to quickly tilt in favor of San Diego after an explosive start against Japanese starter Roki Sasaki. The Padres took control early with a two-run home run by Manny Machado in the first inning, followed by home runs from Jackson Merrill and Jake Cronenworth in the second inning to make the score 6-0.
Sasaki worked just three innings, allowing seven hits, two walks, and six earned runs in a difficult outing. However, after his departure, the Dodgers’ bullpen completely changed the dynamic of the game.

The decisive moment arrived in the fourth inning. Andy Pagés tied the game 6-6 with a two-run double, and immediately after, Mookie Betts hit another RBI double that put Los Angeles ahead for the first time in the game. Muncy added an RBI single to complete a four-run rally that definitively changed the course of the game.
The Dodgers kept the pressure on in the final innings and extended their lead by taking advantage of errors from the opposing bullpen and timely production from their lineup.
Rushing capped off his great performance in the eighth inning with an additional RBI single. The catcher had a memorable night, going 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, standing out as one of the key figures of the game.
With this victory, the Dodgers sent a clear message within the National League West: even in the face of adversity, they maintain the ability to respond with offensive power, depth in the bullpen, and the experience of a contending team.
