José Devers Devers, a 25-year-old native of Samaná, was selected by the Giants in the 2018 rookie draft in the second round. The infielder debuted in the Major Leagues with the Miami Marlins in 2021, a team he rejoined in the 2024 season. In Dominican winter baseball, he has participated in four games during the 2023-2024 season. He is a left-handed batter who primarily plays second base and shortstop. In 2025, he played with the Atlanta Braves, participating in 25 games in which he recorded a .288 average, .382 OBP, with 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored, showing a great offensive level. Regarding his early arrival at training, the Operations Manager, Jaylon Pimentel, valued the player’s willingness: “We are pleased to see José integrate from the beginning, demonstrating commitment and a desire to contribute to our organization. Right-handed pitcher Gleyvin Pineda, 29, born in Azua, also joined. Pineda comes from participating in 2025 with the Lake Country team of the independent baseball league, and arrives at practice in good physical shape, ready to compete for a spot in the pitching staff.
