Gigantes del Cibao announce the departure of José Leger as manager

SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS. – The Gigantes del Cibao announced this Tuesday the departure of José Leger as team manager, as part of a process of reorganization of the coaching staff, after the start of 0-3 in the Round Robin of the championship of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

The information was provided by the general manager of the franchise, Jaylon Pimentel, who thanked Leger for the work done during his time with the organization, highlighting his dedication and professionalism since the beginning of training in September. “We value the commitment and dedication that José showed to our franchise from the first day of training. We wish him the greatest success in his future projects,” expressed Pimentel. In the interim, the manager for the team this Wednesday against the Leones del Escogido, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium, will be Jefry Sierra. Furthermore, the organization reported that the bench coach, Felipe Rojas, is also concluding his duties with the team. In his place, Kremlin Martínez will join, who will assume said role starting with the next commitment. The Gigantes del Cibao reiterated their commitment to continue working to improve the team’s performance and compete at the highest level during the current stage of the championship, when there are still 15 games to play in the round-robin stage.
