ATLANTA. Star Dominican outfielder Juan Soto expressed his satisfaction after being selected for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, highlighting the support received from fans in the Dominican Republic and the backing of the New York Mets organization.

“I always feel happy for the support that the Dominican Republic gave me and for all my people for being there supporting me so that I could be here,” stated Soto when asked about his selection to the Midsummer Classic.
The slugger also expressed his gratitude for the treatment received from the Mets organization since his arrival to the team.
“I feel happy to be part of the New York Mets people, the organization, and how they have treated me. I feel very happy,” he noted.
Focused despite the Mets’ current moment
When questioned about whether the complicated situation the Mets are going through generates additional pressure for him, Soto made it clear that he maintains his focus on contributing to the team.
“No. It’s difficult, but I always stay focused on what I want to do, on what I want to achieve and, as a team, trying to help and bring everything from the positive side so that we can continue winning games,” he expressed.
Support for Junior Caminero
Soto also assured that he will be supporting the young Dominican Junior Caminero during his participation in the Home Run Derby, one of the most anticipated events of the All-Star weekend.

“Sure. One always has to be there supporting him,” he replied when asked if he will accompany Caminero and offer him advice during the competition.
With these statements, Soto reaffirmed his commitment to the Major League All-Star team and showed, once again, his willingness to support the new generation of Dominican players who continue to shine in the best baseball in the world.
