Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Baseball League (LIDOM) announced this Friday the official list of players who will acquire free agent status during the current offseason of Dominican winter baseball.

Although the league does not specify it in the statement, the players included in the list will become free agents as of February 15. However, until March 15, their original teams will have the exclusive right to negotiate and offer them contracts. As of March 16, the remaining franchises may begin talks and sign those who have not been retained.

Leones del Escogido
Tigres del Licey
Águilas Cibaeñas
Toros del Este
Estrellas Orientales
Gigantes del Cibao
Among the names are experienced pitchers, infielders, and outfielders with a background in both local baseball and organized baseball.
In the case of the Tigres del Licey, several players have already been renewed by the organization, including Albert Abreu, Carlos Contreras, Elniery García, Ofreidy Gómez, Ulises Joaquín, Adonis Medina, Anderson Severino, Wander Suero, Sergio Alcántara, Ramón Hernández, Michael De León, and Luis Barrera.
For their part, the Estrellas Orientales secured the continuity of Miguel Sanó, Jorge Mateo, and Raimel Tapia.
The free agency process officially opens the period of strategic movements for next season, in which franchises will seek to strengthen their squads with a view to the 2026-2027 competition.
