Sports Writing (EFE) — Dominican Jasson Domínguez starred in Wednesday’s big story in Major League Baseball by hitting a home run in the ninth inning that gave the New York Yankees the victory, on a day full of Latin power on the diamonds.

YANQUIS 4-3 RANGERS
At 22 years old, Domínguez hit the most decisive hit of his young career by sending the ball to the stands of Yankee Stadium and leaving the Texas Rangers on the field. It was his first “walk-off” home run in the Major Leagues. Cody Bellinger also went to the street for the Bronx, while Jake Burger stood out for the Rangers with two home runs.
RAYS 8-4 ASTROS
Cuban Yandy Díaz led the Tampa Bay attack with a three-run homer. Mexican Jonathan Aranda scored one run and drove in one, and his compatriot Isaac Paredes hit two home runs to drive in three runs. For Houston, Mauricio Dubón and Dominican Jeremy Peña contributed to the attack with a home run and a run scored, respectively.

José Ramírez, Gabriel Arias and Jhonkensy Noel also contributed offensively for Cleveland, while Jhoan Durán earned the victory in the first game.
