Las Vegas. – Quenton M. Brown, a former professional boxer and father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, was arrested this Thursday in Las Vegas on charges of
attempted murder, following a violent incident stemming from an argument over a parking space.

According to reports from the local police and US media, the incident occurred at the
All American Park, where Brown, known in the boxing world as
Marselles, allegedly stabbed a man during the dispute.
The incident
According to the police report, the victim —a youth American football coach— was attacked with multiple stab wounds to the stomach, back, collarbone, and hands. In addition, he suffered a fractured rib, for which he had to undergo emergency surgery.
The victim’s girlfriend reported that the conflict began when the vehicle Brown was traveling in hit the door of the couple’s car. After a verbal argument, Brown allegedly followed the victim and attacked him with a knife, giving him up to
25 stab wounds, according to another witness who testified to the authorities.
The suspect was arrested shortly after, presenting minor injuries to the face and knees. According to the report, upon being apprehended, he spontaneously declared that “it was all due to a knock on the door”.

Quenton Brown, 55, recorded a record of
33-18-1 as a professional boxer since his debut in 1989.
For his part, Jaylen Brown, Celtics star and four-time NBA All-Star,
does not maintain a close relationship with his father and, according to TMZ, was unaware of the arrest and the incident.
The 28-year-old player won his first NBA championship in 2024, when Boston defeated Dallas in the Finals. Last season he averaged
22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, although his team was eliminated by the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Brown will have to appear in court in Las Vegas in the coming days.
