SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS, RD. – The San Francisco Giants began their preparation training this Tuesday morning for the upcoming season of the National Basketball League, scheduled to begin on April 14.

The practices took place on the Mario Ortega rooftop, with the presence of players, coaching staff, and administrative personnel of the franchise, thus marking the formal start of the preseason for the Francomacorisano team. The activity began with the welcome words of Junior Matrillé, who introduced the new general director of the team, Rafael Almánzar, as well as the operations team headed by manager Aneudy Rivera. Likewise, the technical team led by the experienced leader Víctor Peña was presented, who will be accompanied by his assistants José Santos Ceballos, Edgar Lugo and Danilo Jerez, forming the staff that will have the responsibility of directing the team in the upcoming campaign. During the meeting, General Director Rafael Almánzar expressed his satisfaction with the integration of the players from the first day of training, while urging them to maintain commitment and dedication throughout the season. For his part, Operations Manager Aneudy Rivera thanked the players for their attendance and noted that the organization’s main objective will be to work hard to win the championship. The first day of practice featured the participation of players Miguel Miranda, Franky Batista, Jeffrey Abreu, Raphy Delvi Polanco, Ramón Daniel Axel, Hanlet Ruiz and Johan Guzmán, as well as the young men from Francomacoris Claudy Ortega, Andriw Herrera, Luis Vásquez, Junior Muñoz, Dolfy Arias and Néstor Rodríguez, in addition to Cotuí native Jeremy Díaz. The training sessions will continue this Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the same location, as part of the team’s preparation process for the next season, in which the Giants will seek to form a competitive team from the start of the tournament.
