Bautista was decisive with 19 points for the Titans, who put their record at 6-8, with two dates to play, while the Mariners, who have 7-8, were left at the gates of qualification.
With 10 seconds left to play, the Mariners had the opportunity to take the lead with a three-pointer or tie the game, but they missed both attempts as the clock expired with the score 74-76.
The low free throw effectiveness, missing 16 attempts (21 of 37) was a factor in the adverse result for the Puerto Plata team.

The Titans shot from the field for 39 percent (27-69), with 34 rebounds, 11 assists and 71 percent on free throws (12 of 17).
The Titans took good advantage of Emmanuel Omogbo’s absence due to personal fouls to take control of the game in the first half, which they won by seven points (44-37).
Despite finishing ahead by one point (23-22) in the first period, the Mariners faced difficulty converting baskets, shooting for 31 percent (10 of 32), and from three-point range, they only converted two shots in 14 attempts, for 14 percent.
