Competing in the 60-kilogram category, Medina controlled the pace of the fight from the first round, exhibiting precision in his combinations, defensive solidity, and technical superiority to secure a unanimous 5-0 decision victory. His performance consolidates him as one of the most consistent fighters in the competition.
Acevedo IV, champion of the New York Golden Gloves and fourth in the United States Olympic ranking, could not decipher the tactical approach of the Dominican, who maintained the initiative throughout the confrontation.
