SANTIAGO. – Cibao FC and Club Atlético Pantoja will face each other this Saturday in a match that will mark the closing of the Liguilla of the Dominican Republic Football League (LDF 2025-2026) and will serve as a prelude to their next match in the semifinals.

The match is scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Panamericano Stadium, in a duel between two of the most successful clubs in Dominican football. Both teams have already secured their classification: Cibao FC finished in first place in the Liguilla, while Pantoja secured fourth place. Beyond the result, the match will be key for the coaches to adjust strategies for the semifinal series. The orange team, led by Junior Scheldeur, leads the table with 27 points, after recording seven victories, six draws and one defeat. In terms of offense, Cibao has had the goal-scoring contribution of Rivaldo Correa and Ángel Pérez, both with 10 goals. In addition, the team has a solid defense, with only 11 goals allowed in the Liguilla.

For his part, Pantoja has 19 points, the product of four wins, seven draws and three losses. Their main offensive reference is Louka Bertrand, who leads the attack with 14 goals in the competition.
