MOCA FC falls at home with an unexpected goal by Pantoja

MOCA. – A stunning goal from midfield by Maximiliano Jerez made the difference at the Moca 85 Stadium, giving Atlético Pantoja a 0-1 victory over MOCA FC, in the first matchday of the LDF Expansion 2025.

The decisive play came in the 64th minute, when Jerez surprised with a powerful and precise shot that surpassed the aurinegro goalkeeper Robinson Chaperón, scoring the only goal of the match. Despite the goal, the aurinegros never gave up. Jensy Gil and the young talent Derek Paredes generated clear chances in the first half, although the score went blank 0-0. In the second half, Luis Martín Guzmán was close to opening the scoreboard, but goalkeeper José Tejeda prevented the goal with a spectacular save at minute 50. Richard Dabas’ team maintained the pressure until the end, but failed to materialize their arrivals at the rival goal, thus closing their debut with a home defeat.
