The series, scheduled to take place on September 12th and 13th, will be played on a red clay surface. Although the match corresponds to the second round of the World Group II, Ukraine requested an alternate venue due to the situation in its territory, and will act as the home team in the Turkish city.

Protagonists’ Words

The Dominican number one, Roberto Cid, expressed his enthusiasm to wear the national colors again:

“Very happy to be here and represent the Dominican Republic again in the Davis Cup. Very good first practice all together here, we are getting used to the weather, the surface and the time change. We have felt good and we have time to make adjustments. We are positive for the duel”.

For his part, Peter Bertran highlighted the atmosphere and unity of the group:

“The team is very motivated. It was a pretty long trip, but we are in good spirits. The court is a bit heavy, but we know they will maintain it. It’s my first time here and the important thing is to arrive with a good attitude. We all get along very well and that gives us confidence”.
