The Social Sciences Area of Educational District 14-03 recognized Priscila D’ Oleo for her contributions to the preservation of Dominican history and the strengthening of national identity, through the efforts that made possible the establishment of a commemoration in honor of the independence heroine María Trinidad Sánchez.
The distinction was presented during an educational activity held in the María Trinidad Sánchez province, where authorities highlighted the value of promoting knowledge of national history and keeping alive the legacy of the women who contributed to the construction of the Republic.
In the recognition, the School District highlighted that the initiatives promoted by D’Oleo have contributed to strengthening the national identity, exalting the historical role of the Dominican woman, and bringing new generations closer to the example of patriotism, courage, and commitment that María Trinidad Sánchez represents.

In that sense, Priscila said that “The preservation of national history is a strategic task to strengthen the identity, citizenship, and sense of belonging of new generations. We must continue promoting initiatives that allow us to know and value the legacy of those who contributed to the construction of the Dominican Republic.”
Likewise, he added: “it is essential to recognize the role of women in the main processes that gave rise to and developed the Dominican State. Figures like María Trinidad Sánchez represent values of commitment, leadership, and service to the country that must remain present in our collective memory and in the formation of our citizens.”
