Santo Domingo.- The outstanding actor and playwright Basilio Nova created an adaptation of the iconic play “The Pied Piper of Hamelin”, which will return to the stage this Saturday, August 9, and Sunday, August 10, at 6:30 p.m., at Nova Teatro. Basilio Nova highlighted that the staging of this work is full of energy, emotions, and challenges. This production, which had been in the works for a long time, has finally been brought to the stage as a show that combines acting, oral narration, shadow theater, puppets, and a beautiful soundtrack. Reading a huge 13th-century book, Basilio Nova captivates those present with the narration of a story in which love, friendship, justice, and solidarity are present.

Starting the work, we can see that in Hamelin there were many cats that disappeared, giving way to the rats invading the German city, threatening to destroy it. However, a stranger arrives who offers a magical solution, but gratitude fades when it comes time to pay him for his services. In a surprising turn, the strange man decides to take revenge. What will the people of Hamelin do to regain their happiness? This is the answer the audience must discover when they attend the play.
