Meta is rolling out an update to prevent users from recording video with its AI smart glasses while the indicator light is covered.

The glasses are designed to stop recording when the LED is blocked, but some users found a way to bypass the safety feature by covering the light after starting a recording.

Meta’s vice president of augmented reality, Alex Himel, said the new update will make the camera stop recording if the indicator light is covered during a recording. The company says it will continue improving the feature to ensure the LED can reliably alert people nearby when photos or videos are being captured.
