Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that a tropical wave located over Haiti is causing cloud increases this Monday, accompanied by downpours, thunderstorms, and possible wind gusts in several provinces of the country.
n” “nRainfall is mainly recorded in San Cristóbal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Espaillat, Puerto Plata and Greater Santo Domingo.
n” “nAccording to the agency, these rains are expected to gradually decrease throughout the morning, as the tropical wave continues to move away from the national territory.

However, during the afternoon and early evening hours, the moisture left by the phenomenon will favor the occurrence of some isolated showers and thunderstorms over localities in the northeast, the Central Mountain Range, and the Cibao Valley.
n” “nIndomet also indicated that temperatures will remain quite hot due to the time of year and the incidence of Saharan dust particles over the country.
n” “nGiven these conditions, it recommended that the population stay hydrated, wear light-colored, lightweight clothing, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
