14-year-old investigated in death of child found in San Cristóbal creek

San Cristóbal.– Authorities are investigating a 14-year-old teenager in connection with the death of the 10-year-old boy Raudier Steben Martínez Corporán, whose body was found in a state of decomposition in the Reja stream, in the community of Hato Damas, San Cristóbal province. The National Police reported that the minor had been reported missing by his mother the previous day, which activated search efforts and interrogations by police officers. Members of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) and the Scientific Police went to the scene of the discovery, where they carried out the corresponding removal as part of the investigative process. In the scene, several items of clothing belonging to the deceased were collected, which are part of the evidence analyzed by the authorities.

Authorities indicated that the investigated teenager was the last person seen in the company of the deceased minor. Meanwhile, the results of the autopsy are awaited to determine the cause of death.
