El Seibo.– An eight-year-old boy died after remaining hospitalized for several days due to the injuries he suffered when he was struck by a tire that detached from a tractor in the Santa Lucía municipal district, El Seibo province.
The victim was identified as Rodrigo Mael Emilia, a resident of the La Higüera community, where his passing has caused consternation among family, friends, and neighbors.
According to preliminary data, the incident occurred when the minor was sitting on the side of the road. At that moment, a tractor passing through the area lost one of its wheels, including the tire, and the part was projected until it struck the child.

After the accident, Rodrigo Mael was rushed to the Central Romana Hospital, where he received specialized medical care for several days. However, he passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
