National District.- Dozens of students from the Los Guandules sector welcomed President Luis Abinader, who led the inauguration of the San Rafael Basic School (Faith and Joy), located in Domingo Savio.
The modern educational infrastructure will directly benefit 810 students at the basic level and responds to the national vision of transforming education, dignifying it and taking it to all communities in the country, making it accessible to all children and young people of school age.
“Every school that is built is a door that opens towards knowledge, dignity, and the future that begins to be built in the present,” highlighted Minister Luis Miguel De Camps, assuring that the new school is a space designed for learning, inclusion, and the integral development of students.
The goal, the official continued, is to “prepare our students for the challenges of a world that changes every day“.
In this sense, he/she encouraged teachers to turn classrooms into places where curiosity is awakened, where critical thinking is cultivated, and where each student discovers what they are capable of.
The school has 27 classrooms, two of which are for special education. It also has laboratories, a sports field, green areas, playgrounds, and a civic plaza.
