Following a general blackout that forced the cessation of operations for several hours at the Las Américas International Airport and a subsequent sanctioning process that resulted in a fine in favor of the Dominican State for US$5 million, it was reported that Mónica Infante Henríquez will leave her position as General Director of Aerodom, on December 31, 2025, after 14 years in office.
During her tenure, Mónica led a profound modernization of our airport network and played a decisive role in strengthening the air connectivity of the Dominican Republic. Under her direction and in collaboration with VINCI Airports, we achieved key milestones such as the extension of the concession until 2060, which ensures investments of more than 2,000 million dollars for the country.
Her leadership also transcended our borders, representing the region in international spaces and promoting the growth of the Dominican tourism and economic sector, serving as the first woman to preside over the Airports Council International – Latin America and Caribbean – ACI LAC and a member of the ACI World Governing Council.
Valérie Vesque-Jeancard, delegate director of VINCI Airports for France, Chile and the Dominican Republic, and president of the AERODOM Board of Directors, expressed: “Monika Infante Henriquez has played a key role in the management of AERODOM for the last 14 years. Her leadership has been essential to improve airport infrastructure throughout the Dominican Republic, improve connectivity and drive progress in sustainable development. Under her direction, we achieved notable milestones, including the historic extension of the concession until 2060. On behalf of VINCI Airports and the entire AERODOM team, I express our deepest gratitude for her invaluable contributions and wish her the best in her future projects”.
We will soon be announcing the executive who will assume the general management, guaranteeing a smooth transition and the continuity of our strategic projects, such as the construction of the new passenger terminal at Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez.
