Santo Domingo.-The Airport Department (DA) achieved this Tuesday, for the second consecutive year, a recognition plaque in the National Campaign for Integrity in Public Administration Year 2025, Dominican Republic Without Corruption, organized by the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (Digeig), in its fifth version. The recognition of the institution, which won in the responsibility category, was presented by the director of Digeig, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, to the director of DA, Víctor Pichardo, at an event that convened high-level officials, on the occasion of today’s celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day. “We are very grateful for this recognition, which we assume with great responsibility and as a sign of continuing our work regarding transparency, ethics, and, above all, of having a culture of work and innovation,” said Pichardo. He highlighted the work of Digeig and the government ethics team of the Airport Department, whom he urged to continue developing and continue with the campaign promoted by Ortiz Bosch. “We congratulate the General Directorate of Ethics for this initiative,” he pointed out. With this campaign, DIGEIG seeks to promote a culture of integrity through awareness and promotion of values, establishing a sustained trend every 9th of each month, in commemoration of the International Day against Corruption. Last year, in its fourth version, the DA won three of the four award categories of the contest, becoming the only institution that has achieved this feat in the awards for public institutions. The recognitions to the DA, through its Government Ethics and Integrity Commission, were made in the category of Behavioral Risk Assessment; Treatment, Communication and Dissemination of Behavioral Risks, as well as the Best Outstanding Campaign. In all, it achieved the highest scores among the participants.
