The representative highlighted that the performer dedicated his life to upholding the name of San José de las Matas and the Dominican Republic through his music, which is why, he stated, he is receiving a historic farewell from his people today.

The statements were offered during the funeral services held in San José de las Matas, where hundreds of people, artists, authorities, and followers accompanied the final farewell to the so-called “Nightingale of the Sierra,” in a day marked by grief, tributes, and recognition of one of the most iconic voices of Dominican music.
