The strengthening of air connectivity has been key to the rise of Dominican tourism; according to official figures, between January and September 2025 the Dominican Republic received 6,575,073 visitors by air, consolidating the country as the leader of the Caribbean and highlighting the importance of expanding routes to major source markets such as New York. According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet has transported more than one million passengers in 2025, and projects to close the year with 1,500,000 travelers mobilized, including connecting passengers, a milestone for an airline with just over three years of operation.The new schedule of two daily flights makes Arajet one of the most competitive options for traveling between Santo Domingo and New York, reaffirming its mission to democratize the skies and expand connectivity between the Dominican Republic and the world.“We are committed to offering a safe service, where the passenger receives the greatest value for their money; New York is a key market for Dominicans and for tourism, especially at this time when families long to reunite to celebrate the Christmas holidays,” said Victo Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of the airline.
