Barahona.– A man of Haitian nationality lost his life early this Monday after being struck in the head with a rock during an argument that occurred in the municipal district of Santa Elena, in the Barahona province.
The victim was identified as Blanco Yosafa Pie, 32 years old. According to preliminary information, the incident allegedly originated from a debt of RD$100, which triggered an altercation between both men.
The medical examiner’s report states that the death occurred as a result of head trauma caused by the impact of a stone.
Investigations indicate that the alleged aggressor, known only by the alias “Jabao”, had allegedly demanded the return of money that, according to preliminary reports, he had lent to the victim days earlier. The argument reportedly escalated until it ended in the violent act.

Following the incident, the alleged aggressor left the scene and remains at large. The National Police reported that they are maintaining an operation to locate him and place him at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
