He said that in recent years tourism has grown greatly because the Dominican Republic has a good investment climate and legal security, which guarantees profitability, thanks to the great work done by President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism David Collado.“To put it in good Cibaeño, which is the region where I am from in my country, Banreservas for Colombian investors has full pockets,” said the banking executive.

Aguilera highlighted that Banreservas has been a relevant lever in contributing to the success of tourism as an important engine of the national economy. He also highlighted its participation in FITUR 2026, where he reaffirmed its leadership in the Dominican financial sector, by approving investment initiatives for more than 4.2 billion dollars for the development of some 30 new tourism projects. The financial institution is developing an extensive agenda of meetings with tourism investors who have shown interest in the country to finance their new projects that will boost the local economy and generate new jobs. The bank executive highlighted that last year 2025, the Dominican Republic reached a record of more than 5,000 million dollars in foreign direct investment and received more than 11 million tourists who saw the Caribbean country as their preferred destination, consolidating itself as the one with the highest growth in all of America Latina.
