Another achievement obtained by the Banreservas delegation was the meeting with the president of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), with whom they discussed issues related to sustainability, innovation, responsible investment, and the strengthening of public-private partnerships to accelerate the growth of the sector globally. Likewise, the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Germany played a key role in coordinating commercial and bilateral relations between both countries, promoting joint cooperation initiatives, trade missions, and networking events aimed at expanding the presence of the Dominican destination in the German and European market. As a result of these meetings, the participating actors proposed to move forward with the formalization of memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements with strategic partners, in addition to establishing a schedule of follow-up meetings with investors, tour operators, and hotel chains interested in developing projects in the country. Also, the role of the Dominican Republic’s representation office in Madrid was highlighted as a strategic bridge for tourism promotion, attracting investments, and strengthening ties with the Dominican diaspora in Europe.
