The financial institution receives for the third time the certification that ratifies the security of its data center infrastructure

National District.- Banco BHD received its third Tier III Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS) awarded by Uptime Institute Professional Services for its Main Data Center, a Gold-level recognition that validates the robustness of its technological infrastructure and its ability to operate efficiently, resiliently, and sustainably over time.

The report evaluates key aspects such as operational management, maintenance, security, continuous staff training, and risk administration, and confirms that the financial entity complies with Tier III standards in each of these dimensions.

Fidelio Arturo Despradel, executive president of Banco BHD, stated that the Gold certification, the highest level of Operational Sustainability granted by the Uptime Institute, represents an important recognition “of the operational quality of our organization and the permanent commitment of our teams to continuity, security, and reliability in every management task we perform, ensuring resilient and sustainable operations”.

“In this context, the accreditation especially validates the maturity of the bank’s operational processes, given that management and the human factor are decisive in ensuring long-term availability and reliability,” emphasized Despradel.

This is the third time that Banco BHD has obtained an international endorsement from Uptime Institute, consolidating the evolution and robustness of its technological infrastructure. In 2023, the entity obtained the Tier III Design Documents certification, and in September 2025, it achieved the Tier III Facility (TCCF) certification, marking key milestones in its process of technological strengthening and digital transformation.

Operational excellence

The report also certifies the adoption by Banco BHD of proactive, standardized, and measurable processes, aimed at ensuring the continuity of operations and permanent improvement.

The evaluation model is based on three essential pillars: data center management and operation, its infrastructure characteristics, and the site location, which allows for measuring its performance from a comprehensive perspective.

The TCOS certification validates an organization’s ability to sustain the performance of its technological infrastructure by adopting proper risk management, continuous training programs, and an organizational culture focused on operational discipline.

Among the benefits provided by this certification are greater operational resilience and risk management, the optimization of maintenance and operation processes, as well as a greater capacity to sustain the future growth of the organization’s technological infrastructure.

The Uptime Institute certifies organizations that demonstrate they offer premium data center services and robust technological services, with high standards of availability and security, aligned with the best international practices.
