Waltham, Massachusetts, United States.- A technical and executive delegation from the National System for Emergency Attention and Security 911 paid an official visit to the Boston Dynamics facilities, as part of a technological cooperation agenda aimed at strengthening national emergency management and response capabilities through the use of advanced robotics.
The delegation was received by executives and technical specialists from the company, who presented the latest innovations in mobile robotics applied to public safety operations, industrial inspection, emergency response, and action in high-risk environments.
The 911 System delegation was led by its executive director, Colonel Randolfo Rijo Gómez, ERD, and the deputy executive director, Colonel Pilot Harold Jiménez Polanco, ERD, together with Major Pilot Cristian Erick Moquete Denis, ERD, in charge of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Division.
Representing Boston Dynamics were Kimberly Chamblin, Director of Government, and Andrew Wassef, Associate Director of Government Sales, along with other company executives.
During the day, work sessions were held focused on evaluating the adaptation of these technologies to the operational needs of the 911 System and the response institutions that are part of the Dominican emergency response model.
Participants analyzed potential applications in scenarios involving hazardous materials (HazMat), urban search and rescue, structural assessment following disasters, reconnaissance of contaminated areas, and special operations, where the use of robotic systems could reduce personnel exposure, increase operational safety, and improve intervention efficiency.
