Caracas.- Hundreds of Chavismo supporters marched this Tuesday in the center and west of Caracas to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the birth of Hugo Chávez, who governed the country from 1999 until his death in 2013.
The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) was in charge of calling for the mobilization. The route reached the 4F Plaza, Mountain Barracks, in the west of the city, where the mausoleum of the late president is located.
“Hugo Chávez is more relevant today than ever in his thinking, in his work, in his transformative strength, in his message of love, in his transformative message (…) We from here remember the greatness of our commander Hugo Chávez,” said the PSUV leader and head of the Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, from the mobilization.
