Los Ángeles.- Chris Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers-Captain America in the next Marvel movie, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which will be released on December 18, 2026.
The first trailer for the film, released in the cinema screenings of the film ‘Avatar: Fire & Ash‘ according to Variety, also shows Rogers at home as the father of a newborn baby, looking at his Captain America suit with nostalgia.
“Steve Rogers will return for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’“, announces the video that has also been leaked on the internet.
The last time Rogers appeared in a movie was at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ from 2019, precisely the film in which Iron Man died.
In the film, the character of Evans cedes his red and white shield to his partner Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), turning him from Falcon into the new Captain America.
Mackie starred in the movie ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in 2025, in which he took on the role of the aforementioned avenger for the first time alongside Danny Ramírez in the role of Joaquín Torres.
The return of Evans as one of the Avengers is added to the return of Robert Downey Jr., known for playing Iron Man in the Marvel universe, but this time not as Tony Stark but as Doctor Doom.
