La Romana, D.R. – The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Judicial District of La Romana, presided over by Magistrate Margarita Cristo Cristo, ordered the pure and simple release of the renowned influencer from La Romana, Billy López, popularly known as “Atención Billy López,” after hearing the request for a coercive measure against him.
López was brought to justice following a complaint filed by his ex-partner for alleged abuse. However, after evaluating the arguments and evidence presented by the parties during the hearing, the court decided not to impose any coercive measures, ordering his immediate release.
The decision sparked an emotional reaction outside the La Romana Courthouse, where dozens of family members, friends, and followers were waiting for the content creator to show their support.
Amidst applause, hugs, tears, and shows of support, Billy López expressed his gratitude for the solidarity received, while his followers celebrated the decision adopted by the court.
Although the influencer regained his freedom, the judicial process will continue to unfold in accordance with what is established by Dominican legislation and the guarantees of due process.
