Guayubín, Montecristi.– The 588th day of the Program for the Early Detection of Breast, Cervical, and Prostate Cancer, Chequéate RD, promoted by the Office of the First Lady and the National Health Service (SNS), arrived this Saturday in the municipality of Guayubín with the goal of bringing preventive health services and free medical care to the population.
The operation was led by the executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio Landrón, who reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to continue strengthening prevention as one of the main strategies to protect health and save lives.

For her part, Dr. Blanca Conigliaro, coordinator of Health Intervention Development at the SNS, reported that with Guayubín, there are now 588 sessions carried out nationwide, bringing preventive services to thousands of Dominicans.
Conigliaro invited the public to take advantage of the free services available during the operation, highlighting that prevention is the best tool to preserve health and ensure a future with family.

Here we offer mammograms, prostate tests (PSA), general medicine consultations, nutrition, pediatrics, dentistry, and a pharmacy. Among the beneficiaries of the day, Luis Agustín Monel Blanco positively valued the initiative and thanked the Government for bringing free health services to the community. The community member expressed that he attended the operation to be evaluated for headaches, check his blood pressure, and have a hearing check-up.
Likewise, he highlighted that he received all care at no cost and considered that these types of actions contribute to improving the population’s access to health services. “It is very important to me that the Government does this. They are taking good care of us here and we haven’t had to pay a single peso,” he stated.
For her part, Oscaria de la Rosa highlighted the importance of these types of operations reaching communities, considering that they facilitate access to preventive studies that many people cannot afford.
During the day, attendees received screenings for the timely detection of breast, cervical, and prostate cancer, in addition to general medicine consultations, PSA tests, nutrition services, pediatrics, dentistry, pharmacy, and guidance on healthy lifestyles, as part of the actions carried out by Chequéate RD to promote a culture of prevention throughout the country.
