This tour is part of an agenda of institutional visits that the Minister of Defense will be carrying out in the main units of the Army, Navy, and Air Force of the Dominican Republic, as an expression of the permanent accompaniment of the high military command to the troops deployed throughout the national territory.

On this occasion, the minister visited military units located in Barahona, Pedernales, Jimaní, Elías Piña, San Juan de la Maguana, Dajabón and Mao, where at each point he personally greeted the personnel, shared with officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, and congratulated them on their performance and vocation of service. In the visited Army units, members of the Armed Forces who serve in the Specialized Corps of Land Border Security (CESFRONT) also gathered, who likewise received the message of recognition and Christmas greetings. The Minister of Defense was accompanied by the Vice Minister for Military Affairs, Major General Miguel Ángel Rubio Báez, DRG.; the Commander General of the Dominican Republic Army, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, DRG.; the director of the Specialized Corps of Land Border Security (CESFRONT), as well as members of the Joint General Staff of the Ministry of Defense. The Ministry of Defense highlighted that these visits constitute a clear sign of support, closeness, and recognition from the high military command to the work carried out by the troops on the border, reaffirming the institutional commitment to accompany, strengthen, and dignify the service of those who, with honor and discipline, guarantee the defense and security of the Dominican Republic.
