Santo Domingo.- Maintaining internal unity, strengthening the territorial structure, and updating the registry are among the main challenges that the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) must take on, as stated this Sunday by Deligne Ascención, chosen as the first vice president of the ruling organization for the 2026-2030 period.
After the results of the National Assembly of Delegates were announced, Ascención maintained that the new members of the party’s leadership face the challenge of closing a period of responsibilities and opening another, focused on strengthening the organization ahead of the upcoming electoral processes.
The PRM leader also pointed out as a priority to accompany the Central Electoral Board in the identity card issuance process, considering it a vital initiative for the country and for the strengthening of electoral processes.
Likewise, he stated that the PRM must consolidate its role as a governing party and act as an effective interlocutor between the citizenry and the authorities.

Ascención considered that the organization must become “the lung, the listening ear, and the hearing of the citizenry,” in order to gather their concerns and transmit them to the Government, with the purpose that public policies respond to the needs of the different national sectors.
The first vice president of the PRM maintained that this connection will allow for maintaining permanent contact between the Government and the population and contribute to ensuring that official actions translate into concrete improvements for citizens.
