n” “nLa Vega, D.R. – Members of the Regional Intelligence Sub-directorate (DINTEL), in coordination with the Public Ministry and the Preventive Police, executed two simultaneous raids in the Las Canas sector, La Vega municipality, where two people were arrested and an illegally possessed firearm, hundreds of contraband cigarettes, and cash were seized.
n” “nDuring the first intervention, carried out through search warrant No. 2026-AJ0052784, the authorities seized 824 units of Capital and Jaisalmer brand cigarettes, in addition to RD$8,387.00 in cash, allegedly the proceeds of their illegal sale. Juan Payano Rosario (a) “Toño”, 60 years old, was arrested in the operation.
In a second raid, executed under warrant No. 2026-AJ0052729, Elvis Minaya Rosario (a) “El Gordo”, 49, was arrested, with a Taurus .40 caliber pistol, its magazine, nine rounds, and a tactical laser being seized at his residence, which he was carrying illegally.
