Santo Domingo. –The Dominican Lime Company (DOCALSA) donated 50 tons of quicklime intended to support the sanitary and humanitarian response operations being carried out in Venezuela, following the earthquakes that have left a profound impact on thousands of families.

The initiative is part of the company’s social commitment to the protection of human life and dignity in emergency situations. The quicklime will be used in essential sanitary tasks that contribute to preserving health conditions in the affected areas, supporting the work carried out by response and assistance teams.

“Aware of the humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is going through, we have decided to put our resources at the service of those who are currently facing one of the most difficult situations in its recent history. We believe that supporting these operations is also a way to protect the dignity of the people who work every day to save lives and assist the affected communities,” expressed Emanuela Delfino, member of the Board of Directors.

The mining company DOCALSA highlighted that there is still much to be done to address the needs arising from the emergency, which is why it called on the business sector to join this solidarity effort through the donation of products, services, or any resource that contributes to strengthening the humanitarian response.
