The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Thursday, August 20, as follows:
In financial institutions, the average rate for the purchase of dollars stood at RD$57.25, while the sale was quoted at RD$59.70.
This represents a slight variation compared to the previous day (when the purchase was at RD$57.1487 and the sale at RD$59.7028), which translates into a daily depreciation for the Dominican peso of -0.18% in the purchase and -0.01% in the sale.
For their part, Remittance and Exchange Agents reported average rates of RD$58.43 for purchase and RD$59.29 for sale.
Compared to the previous day (purchase of RD$58.31 and sale of RD$59.25), the peso experienced a slight daily depreciation of -0.20% in the purchase and -0.07% in the sale.
