The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Tuesday, December 30, 2025, as follows: Financial entities reported a buying rate of RD$62.58 and a selling rate of RD$63.58.
When comparing these values with those recorded on December 26, 2025 (when the purchase was at RD$62.45 and the sale at RD$63.37), a depreciation of -0.21% in the purchase and -0.34% in the sale is observed in just three days.
Remittance and exchange agents present a slightly different margin. The buying rate in these establishments stood at RD$61.93, while the selling rate reached RD$63.83. In summary, the data reflects a sustained strengthening of the dollar during the last year, consolidating above the barrier of 63 pesos in the sale to the public both in banks and in exchange agencies.
