Eco Petróleo delivers emergency kits to COE and Civil Defense

Santo Domingo,- The company Eco Petróleo delivered emergency kit batches this Monday to the Emergency Operations Center and Civil Defense as a contribution to the prevention efforts for Holy Week.

These institutions, in turn, will deliver the first-aid kits to citizens who will travel within the country during the holiday for the Holy Week. The initiative seeks to help citizens have a tool in their vehicles that can mitigate any emergency situation, while sending a message of caution to vacationers. Javier Bautista, president of Eco Petróleo, and Juan Matos, founder and past president, led the deliveries to the director of the COE, Juan Manuel Méndez, and the deputy director of Civil Defense, Bernardo Rodríguez.
Matos highlighted the importance of this contribution for the general public and society. “Eco Petróleo wants to be present in prevention efforts during this holiday and we take this opportunity to urge people to act prudently to preserve lives,” he said.

Méndez stated: ”We appreciate this important contribution, which strengthens our preventive actions during Holy Week. These first aid kits represent a key tool for addressing emergency situations on the road, but we reiterate that the best way to protect life is by acting with prudence and responsibility in each journey.” On his part, Rodríguez said that “collaborating with prevention during this Holy Week is a matter of life. We are infinitely grateful to Eco Petroleo for this donation, which will undoubtedly reinforce the work of Civil Defense during the time when more vacationers are on the move. These first-aid kits will be distributed to the population at toll booths and at our 881 First Aid Posts.” Along with Bautista and Matos, the executives of Eco Petróleo attended the activity: Fernando Cabral, president Ad Vitam; Héctor Ramírez, vice president; Emilio Vásquez, former president; and Víctor Pimentel, commercial manager. First-aid kits contain isopropyl alcohol, baking soda, acetaminophen pills, diphenhydramine, omeprazole, and diclofenac, Band-Aids, and gauze. The deliveries were made in separate activities carried out in the premises of the COE and Civil Defense, entities that will deliver the first aid kits to the population.
For civil defense, Delfín Rodríguez, technical director, and Dr. Johanna Leyba also attended the delivery.
