Santo Domingo Oeste.– The National Police reported the arrest of two men identified for their alleged participation in an assault perpetrated against a couple in the Reparto Rosa sector, in Las Caobas, in an incident that was recorded by security cameras and whose footage circulated widely on social media.
The detainees were identified as Luis Ander López Sánchez, 23 years old, known as “El Flaco”, and Luis Alejandro Moreta Comas, alias “Bebo”, who were captured as part of the investigations carried out by police agents.
During the operations, the authorities seized several pieces of evidence allegedly related to the robbery, including a bulletproof vest, a ski mask, a coat, a pair of sneakers, and a plastic pistol, items that will be incorporated into the investigative process.
In the case of Moreta Comas, the agents also seized a 9-millimeter caliber pistol, which will be subjected to ballistic tests to establish if it was used during the assault or in other criminal acts recorded in the country.

The law enforcement institution reported that investigations are ongoing with the goal of capturing three other men identified only by the aliases “Bombón”, “Rádame”, and “El Socio”, who remain at large and are considered of interest to the investigation.
The National Police reiterated that the detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, while urging the wanted individuals to turn themselves in through the means they consider appropriate to answer to justice.
