Santo Domingo. – Lawyer and political scientist Elic Fernández, a recognized figure in the country’s political and academic circles, formally announced his resignation from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), after more than three decades of active militancy.
The decision was communicated through a letter sent to the party president, Danilo Medina, in which Fernández explains the reasons that led him to make this determination, which, although not fully revealed, respond to a process of deep personal reflection on the national political landscape and its projection into the future.
