Elvis Crespo will wear Dominican fashion and sing his hits at Premios Soberano

The renowned Puerto Rican merengue singer Elvis Crespo will have a musical participation in the next Premios Soberano gala, where he will present a special number that will review some of the greatest hits of his career. The artist held a press conference this Monday at the National Theater, after finishing his rehearsals for the awards ceremony to be held this Wednesday. During the conversation, he revealed that the audience will be able to enjoy a medley that will go through part of his extensive discography and his career within the music industry. “I am going to be performing at Premios Soberano, singing a medley of my songs and sharing with you. There is a special connection between us. I love you all very much. I am happy to be here at this celebration where Dominican talent is highlighted,” expressed the performer. The singer also announced that the presentation will feature an impressive stage design, followed by revealing that there will be big surprises at the award ceremony.

“I can’t tell you much, but the set design is going to be impressive. I was surprised by everything I’ve seen. I’m really happy and glad to be here,” he added. Crespo also stated that he was excited to be in the Dominican Republic, recalling that he has attended this important awards ceremony since its time as Premios Casandra. The artist also revealed that they will wear creations by Dominican designers on the red carpet and during the gala, as a way to promote local fashion. “I will be collaborating with Dominican designers on the red carpet. I will be wearing Erick Lemos, whom I call ‘Arq.’ because he started studying architecture, but he is a tremendous designer, and for the gala, I will be wearing a design by Javier Torres, from Santiago,” she explained. Finally, the merengue artist assured that whenever he has the opportunity to collaborate with Dominican artists, he does so with enthusiasm, highlighting the cultural and musical ties that have united Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic since the beginning of his career.
