Ernesto Sánchez Mejía, father who was mistreated by his son in La Romana, passes away

La Romana.– Mr. Ernesto Sánchez Mejía, father of the young Arcadio Sánchez, who had been caught on video being physically assaulted by his own son on February 2nd, passed away this Sunday morning.

Mr. Ernesto Sánchez Mejía’s clinical condition worsened while he was at the Padre Abreu Nursing Home in La Romana.

The incident sparked deep outrage in the municipality of Villa Hermosa and throughout the country, after the images went viral on social media. The case remains under investigation by the competent authorities.
