Estebanía. – The former mayor of the municipality of Estebanía and leader of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Juana Sánchez, mother of former governor Jany Pimentel Sánchez, passed away today, according to information confirmed by family members. With his departure, the municipality loses one of its most influential figures, remembered for his leadership, vocation of service and the legacy he left during his management at the head of the city council, as well as for his political militancy within the PLD. Juana Sánchez was recognized as a woman committed to the development of her community, playing an active role in both municipal management and the political life of the province of Azua.
