Santo Domingo.- The Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) informs that this Thursday April 16 will carry out scheduled maintenance work at the 69 kV Bonao 2 substation and on the transmission line 69 kV San Pedro de Macorís-Cementos Nacionales, with the aim of strengthening the quality and stability of the service.
In that sense, at the 69 kV Bonao 2 substation,
preventive maintenance will be carried out on the busbar from
12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, the electrical service will be interrupted in the communities of
Maimón and Bonao, belonging to the province of Monseñor Nouel, as well as in the
Zona Franca Dos Ríos.
Similarly, deteriorating structures on the 69 kV San Pedro de Macorís – Cementos Nacionales transmission line will be replaced, during the hours of
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Due to these works, the electricity supply will be affected in the sectors
Barrio Blanco, Barrio Enriquillo, Los Maestros, México, Cayacoa and Guavaberry, belonging to the province of San Pedro de Macorís. Likewise, in the companies
César Iglesias, Destilería Brugal and Harinas del Higüamo.
The ETED appreciates the understanding of the citizens and companies affected, and highlights that these
works are fundamental for the
security of the national electricity service, as part of its commitment as an enabler of the
energy and digital transition of the Dominican Republic, through the development of
modern infrastructures of energy and data at the service of the country.
