The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the euro for this Tuesday, July 14, as follows:
Financial entities presented a purchase rate of RD$66.64 and a sale rate of RD$68.93. Compared to the previous report, a daily appreciation for the peso of 0.26% in the purchase and 0.31% in the sale was recorded.
In the remittance and exchange agent sector, the euro was quoted at a purchase rate of RD65.7368**and a sale rate of**RD69.8323
In this segment, the daily appreciation was marginal in the purchase (barely 0.04% compared to the previous day, while the selling rate remained practically static.
Despite the general strength in 2026, the technical report indicates that in the last month there has been a favorable adjustment for the peso of between 1.22% and 1.82% in exchange agents, and between 1.53% and 1.71% in financial entities.
This strengthening of the peso against the euro continues to benefit the cost of imports from the Eurozone, although it represents a decrease in the amount of pesos received by beneficiaries of family remittances from Europe.
