Santo Domingo.– The Faculty of Humanities of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) inaugurated this Thursday the first National Awards Gallery dedicated exclusively to those awarded the National Literature Prize and other state recognitions that have been academically or professionally linked to this house of higher education. The gallery, located in the Paraninfo Andrés Avelino García, honors the intellectual and humanist trajectory of distinguished figures who have significantly contributed to Dominican letters and culture through their connection with UASD. Among the awardees present at the event were José Mármol, Andrés L. The activity was part of the commemorative events of the 79th anniversary of the Faculty of Humanities, which included a floral offering placed on the bust of the illustrious humanist Pedro Henríquez Ureña and an academic panel on his thought and legacy. With this gallery, the Faculty of Humanities reaffirms its commitment to the recognition of intellectual excellence and to the promotion of the legacy of the great Dominican thinkers and writers trained or linked to the Universidad Primada de América.
